Covervault PSD Mockup

Covervault is a new website from Mark Monciardini the creator of Actionuser.com and CoverActionPro.com. The content on Covervault focuses around delivering high quality PSD mockup content using Smart Objects that automatically apply your own 2D artwork or sketches to the 3D products.
The following sample render uses artwork from eBook Launch to illustrate the 5×8 multi-book PSD mockup set:

The PSD Mockup template is ~17MB but is a 6MB free download from this page. Once you open the PSD Mockup file and place your artwork, you can easily adjust the spine’s highlights and book shadows which are provided on seperate layers. The background is also fully transparent allowing you to swap in your own design as a backdrop.

Another feature of this free PSD Mockup is that each book is neatly seperated into groups within the Photoshop Layers panel. Don’t need 4 book? No problem, simply turn off a few layers and you’re instantly down to a 2 book showcase:

The entire document measures 3000×2000 pixels with a 300DPI canvas (each book is roughly 800×1500 px).

Currently the site has about 12 PSD mockup templates which are free to download, however, Mark is promissing to expand into other areas so expect to see a range of products appearing on his site over time.
